3rd Annual Neurology Pharmacology Made Simple Symposium

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Department of Neurology is proud to offer the 3rd annual symposium for advanced practice providers (APP) – Neurology Pharmacology Made Simple. This symposium is free to Ohio State faculty, staff and students, and will take place Friday, May 17, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Attendees will be able to either attend in-person at the Fawcett Center or virtually.

Our keynote speaker, Shannon Anderson, MPAS, PA-C, from Oregon Health & Science University, will speak on the management of Parkinson’s disease. Additional sessions will be led by advanced practice providers and will address strategies, guidelines and pharmacologic advancements to help manage some of the most common neurological topics seen in primary care and specialty clinics.

Ohio State Neurology Update – Comprehensive Review for the Clinician

February 3, 2024 | 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

This CME-accredited symposium will provide information on latest diagnostic guidelines and clinical management approaches for a range of common neurological diseases and conditions, including stroke, headache, memory disorders, Parkinson’s Disease, neuromuscular disorders, multiple sclerosis and epilepsy. Each talk will be given by a nationally recognized specialist in the field. A panel of experts will also review ongoing and upcoming clinical trials and studies of novel disease modifying agents for individuals with migraines, MS, neuromuscular disorders, seizures, Parkinson’s Disease, and Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. This event offers both virtual and in-person attendance.

2023 Neurology DEI Symposium

The goal of this symposium is to bring awareness to challenges to advancement in underrepresented groups in medicine, provide career development guidance to trainees, and foster collaboration and mentorship. Attendees will have an opportunity to attend lecture presentations and panel discussions given by experts and leaders in neurology and DEI, as well as networking opportunities.
