Help us recognize a staff member who went above and beyond

If you’ve received outstanding care or service during your hospital stay, there are several ways to express your thanks:

You can thank any Ohio State staff member by sending them a physical BRAVO card or an electronic card.

To send an electronic BRAVO card: Visit myexperience.osumc.edu

Ask someone on your care team for a BRAVO card at your nurses station.

Daisy Award

The DAISY Foundation is an international program that recognizes and celebrates compassionate nursing care. If you’d like to share a positive experience about one of your nurses, simply email DAISYAward@osumc.edu.

To ensure we recognize the correct nurse please include:

  • The nurse’s name
  • Hospital name and unit
  • Describe the care you or your family member experienced explaining why the nurse deserves this award
  • Please talk with your nurse manager if you have any questions

BUCK-I Award

The Bringing the Utmost Care and Kindness to Individual patients (BUCK-I) Award recognizes non-nursing staff for extraordinary acts of compassionate care they demonstrate in their work with patients. Members of your care team who can be nominated for this award include: patient care associates (PCAs), psychiatric care technicians (PCTs), unit clerks (UCAs) and surgical technologists.

Nominations are reviewed by a panel, and up to three awards will be presented quarterly on the awardees’ units at a prearranged time and date. Recipients of this award receive a buckeye pin and an award as part of the recognition.

If you’d like to share a positive experience about a non-nursing member of your care team, email Buck-IAward@osumc.edu.

Become a Patient Family Experience Advisor

Another way to share your feedback is to volunteer as a Patient and Family Experience Advisor. In this role, you’ll work on committees with our staff to complete policy reviews, speaking engagements and other projects.
