Experience and Interest

Tiffany has extensive experience in performing arts, from her own practice in classical ballet and modern dance to teaching dancers at all skill levels and basic figure skating. As a young dancer she focused on classical ballet and studied and performed in Cuba, Russia, Taiwan, and with various regional companies. Her dance medicine experience began as a physical therapy student in New York City, where she treated pre-professional and professional dancers, including dancers from several Broadway shows and the Paul Taylor Dance Company. As a member of the Performing Arts Medicine Program she has assisted with performance coverages, dance wellness workshops and the clinical management of many dancers. In addition, she is a member of our ACL injury prevention and hip outcomes teams.
She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the APTA's Orthopedic Section and performing arts special interest groups, the Ohio Physical Therapy Association (OPTA), The American Society of Biomechanics, and the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS). Her clinical and research interests include anatomical variations, biomechanics, lower extremity injuries, and injury prevention.
