About the program

The Adult Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship is an ACGME-accredited combined adult and pediatric nephrology fellowship, which began in 2016. This is a joint partnership between the nephrology divisions at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. We successfully matched a candidate to this position for the year 2016 who started with adult nephrology rotations.

  • This is a four-year training program, with one clinical year each at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children's Hospital, along with two years of research and other scholarly activities
  • The eligible candidates are graduates of an ACGME-accredited medicine or pediatrics residency program
  • Fellows graduating from this program would be eligible for both ABP and ABIM nephrology board exams
  • This is a unique opportunity to pursue novel niche areas that span the pediatric and adult populations
  • The curriculum designed for this position is relatively flexible to meet the interests of the candidate as long as the ABP and ABIM requirements are met
