The Ohio State University Neurosurgical Residency Program aims to be one of the top residency programs in the nation.  Our goal is to train academic neurosurgeons who will be future leaders in our field!  Our residents are exposed to one of the highest case volumes in the country, with faculty experts across neurosurgical subspecialties including open and endovascular, complex spinal deformity, minimally invasive cranial and spine, spine oncology, cranial oncology and skull base, functional neurosurgery and DBS, pediatric neurosurgery, and trauma at a level one trauma center.  Our clinical training is matched by our commitment to research and education.  Our trainees have 2 dedicated research years with access to a wide array of researchers both within the department and across Ohio State that include many NIH funded labs.  We also offer weekly grand rounds and education conferences, journal club, and a variety of subspecialized conferences. The combination of education, clinical expertise, case volume, and research training will set our residents up to be leaders in their field!
