My clinical specialty and research focus on rehabilitation and improving patient outcome following traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury.

I am the medical director of the Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program and assistant clinical professor within the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. My clinical specialties include traumatic brain injury and rehabilitation. In 2014, I was rated in the top 10 percent of physicians in the nation for patient satisfaction.

I oversee the inpatient rehabilitation operations at University Hospital, Ross Heart Hospital, the James Cancer Hospital & Solove Research Institute, and Harding Hospital as well as Dodd Rehabilitation Hospital, which is CARF accredited.

I am the rehabilitation services manager for Dodd Rehabilitation Hospital. I lead the CARF accredited Spinal Cord Injury System of Care, the CARF Accredited Cancer Specialty Program and the General Rehabilitation Program. I am also the manager for the Therapeutic Recreation Program at Ohio State's Harding Hospital. My clinical interests include psychosocial adjustment to disability and community reintegration for adult and pediatric rehabilitation patients.

I am a rehabilitation services manager at Dodd Rehabilitation Hospital. I serve as the team lead for the Acquired Brain Injury Service, including the CARF accredited Brain Injury and Stroke Programs. My areas of management include team dynamics, program development, staff enrichment and operations management. My areas of clinical expertise include brain injury, behavior management, ergonomics, chronic pain, complex regional pain syndrome and disability ethics.

I am a rehabilitation services manager at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center for the Acute Care Rehabilitation Department. I work with transtibial amputees and fabricates removable rigid dressings postoperatively. In 1981, I was also the first female drum major for The Ohio State University Marching Band and was the first female drum major in The Big Ten.

In the acute care environment, I have clinical focuses in pediatrics and cardiopulmonary therapy, and have participated in the Ohio State Burn Competency Training Program.

I also provides physical therapy to a variety of patients, including those with neurological impairments, orthopedic injuries, critical illness and oncologic emergencies.

I am a physical therapist and clinical rehab manager for Outpatient Neurologic Rehabilitation and the NeuroRecovery Network Center. I have a clinical focus in neuro rehabilitation with a special interest in spinal cord injury. I have worked on various committees within the NeuroRecovery Network to aid in expanding the number of patients living with spinal cord injury who are able to receive locomotor training as an intervention.
