About Me
I’m board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation as well as in the subspecialties of pain medicine and addiction medicine.
I’m proud to serve as medical director of oncology rehabilitation at Ohio State. We have expanded our services for cancer survivors and were the first in Ohio and second in the United States to have an accredited inpatient cancer rehabilitation service.
My clinical interests include cancer pain management, especially interventional management, cancer rehabilitation, chronic interventional pain management and neuromodulation, including spinal cord stimulators.
I’m also a clinical associate professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I earned my medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and completed my residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Ohio State. Then I completed a fellowship in interventional pain medicine at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my dog Sawyer, and I am a national-level judge for U.S. Figure Skating.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Luke has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
Dr Luke is fabulous
Felt hurried and irrelevant. Because I had my pain under control by the time I saw her, I felt like I was wasting her time.
Good
Very concerned about the problem and explained the procedure well before and during the procedure.
Everything was good
Excellent care very uderstanding
Good
Dr. Luke is awesome. She asked me about my cancer pain which she treats me for but when I mentioned I had compression fractures she was concerned about those also. I told her I felt they were healing because the pain was much less.
Vert good
She introduced herself only briefly and brusquely informed me that it was too soon for the injection and I wouldn't get another one later. I told her this injection was necessitated by an accident. She said she had read that. Someone who did not introduce herself talked the provider through the procedure. It had never been painful before, but this time it was. At one point there was severe, sharp pain in my right leg, normally the most severe pain is in my left leg. Unlike Dr. Anderson, this provider didn't set up a follow up video or in person appointment, or inform me of other available treatments. She also didn't say goodbye. I want to continue to receive care at the Spine Center, but not from this provider.
Doctor Luke was very down to earth and seemed very interested and caring to my concerns. I really liked her but I have no desire to have a spinal cord stimulator. If I did she would be the doctor I would choose to take care of me.
All good

All good
Dr Luke completes the procedure quickly and efficiently. We have open discussions about work and other items that help during the procedure.
I was referred by Dr. Amanda Pannu, my Primary Care Physician because of back and hip pain. This was the first appointment with Dr, Whitney Luke. She prescribed an MRI. I have made the appointment.
Prompt, courteous, pleasant, interested in my health.
Good experience and care
Ok
Very Very efficient
The provider was great...explained everything perfectly
Provider was thorough in gathering information and making recommendations.
The Doctor was as always very helpful with my complex medical issues and trying to help in their area of expertise without interfering with other medical professionals treatments
Ensured that all information was accurate and correct.
Dr. Luke is my favorite doctor. She is very bright, and she LISTENS. She knows my issues and genuinely wants to help me. We discuss everything from my prescriptions to injections, my last CT Scan and my pain level and new issues.
Good: expert and knowledgeable, inspiring confidence
Always with a wonderful bedside manner and treatment.
Was not numb enough for procedure. Felt the needle go in and always down to the nerve root. On the Rt side of butt for SI injection.
Care provider did not ever look up from her paperwork where she rattled off side effects of procedure. I was never introduced to resident/fellow. I think they were in hurry!
Took time. Listened well. Explained in details I could understand clearly.
Dr. Luke is the best pain management doctor I know. She is extremely skilled and effective. She remembers my conditions and needs from visit to visit.
Super
Very rushed
I wish her staff would get my chart to Dr Luke for better responses to my questions
Excellent.
She made me feel rushed - not a thorough exam.
Was great
I felt reassured about what was to take place with this surgery. I would be placed in good hands to take care of my pain of the pancreas.
Good.
I will never refer anyone here she was rude didn't want to hear me out.
Very good.
The doctor added on to my PT appointment by adding additional material that was entered by my GP.
All good.
He was very professional.
Good
This provider or her staff only provided spinal injections based on a referral from another provider.
Always taken great care of me.
Very good and placement of needed injection.
