About Me
I’m board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation as well as in the subspecialties of pain medicine and addiction medicine.
I’m proud to serve as medical director of oncology rehabilitation at Ohio State. We have expanded our services for cancer survivors and were the first in Ohio and second in the United States to have an accredited inpatient cancer rehabilitation service.
My clinical interests include cancer pain management, especially interventional management, cancer rehabilitation, chronic interventional pain management and neuromodulation, including spinal cord stimulators.
I’m also a clinical associate professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I earned my medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and completed my residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Ohio State. Then I completed a fellowship in interventional pain medicine at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my dog Sawyer, and I am a national-level judge for U.S. Figure Skating.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2022, Dr. Luke has reported no relationships with companies or entities.

This was my first time seeing Dr.Luke, and I was very happy with the care and attention that I received from her. She listened to everything I had to say, and answered all my questions. Couldn't be more satisfied.

As always, Dr. Luke explained the procedure to be performed and the risks associated with the procedure. She allowed ample time for me to ask questions.
She was caring and gave me hope. She listened
Appeared extremely focused to the task at hand whole brushing off my question. Being so singularly focused made me feel I was interrupting her when I am, or should be, the focus.

She was very professional and listened when I spoke to her. Very knowledgeable.
Painless injection!
It is always a pleasure to work with Dr. Luke regarding pain management. She is receptive to my questions and we have an interactive discussion of both of our concerns.
At this appt. Dr. Luke chatted throughout with the other two people in the room. She barely spoke to me except for occasional "little stick" comments. She chatted THROUGHOUT THE PROCEDURE about basketball, a problem at her house and other subjects unrelated to me or my procedure. I was in considerably more pain when I left the appt. (& far more than a week after) than when I got there. After about two weeks, the pain has let up somewhat - actually it MOVED from my leg to my back - likely not related to the injection.
Dr. Luke is the best, very caring & concerning.
No problems.
My care provider was very nice.
The entire visit met my needs.
Whitney Luke is 110% on her game! She is ready with answered to my questions and insightful, helpful solutions to my problems. A T1 muscle bad toller for thigh cramps, exercises for strength building & edema relief. This team will be the way makers for me returning to the nursing career I love.
Dr. Luke is wonderful, after she makes sure I am good, she also asks about my family & never makes me feel rushed. I wish more doctors were like her.
