This year, we’re proud to say that the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center remains #1 in Columbus and has been nationally ranked in four specialties: Cancer; Diabetes & Endocrinology; Ear, Nose & Throat; and Nephrology. Our ENT program is ranked #3 in the United States. Seven other specialties were rated in the top 10% nationally.

In addition to these high-ranked areas, eight common procedures and conditions received the highest possible rating.

Level 1 Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation

Ohio State has achieved Level 1 Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation – the gold standard – as designated by the American College of Emergency Physicians. This designation recognizes the excellent care we provide to our older adult patients. Our goals are to always improve patient outcomes, to ensure optimal transitions of care from the ED to other settings and to support geriatric-focused quality improvement. Being named a Level 1 facility is validation that we are achieving these goals.
