Our Ambition
Through our actions and partnerships, we will co-create an inclusive and equitable environment for those who work here, learn here, engage with us for care and live in the communities we serve.
Guiding our decisions – Our Core Pillars and Roadmap
Creating an environment that connects each person to the opportunities and support they need requires planning based on data-driven information, transparent goals, dedicated leadership and individual accountability.
To foster this transformation, we have developed Core Pillars and a multi-year Roadmap for Health Equity that holds us accountable for our stated commitment, individual fiscal year activities and honest evaluation.
Employee Resource Groups
These employee-led groups provide peer support, mentoring, professional and personal development resources, monthly meetings and special events for employees of different identity and interest groups.
All employees of the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center and The Ohio State University are welcome to join, including those who identify with or want to learn more about the group, have an affinity for related issues or would like to be an ally or sponsor.
The Ohio State University College of Medicine Health Equity plan
To improve the experience of both faculty and learners and better prepare the next generation of medical leaders, this plan focuses on our curriculum and removing disparities in research, patient care and our own recruitment and retention.
The OSUCCC – James Center for Cancer Health Equity
This plan is intended to increase cancer awareness in minority and underserved communities locally, regionally and nationally.
