Why choose The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center?
As central Ohio’s only academic medical center, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center values learning, development and innovation. Recently, we were one of only 12 medical centers in the nation to receive the 2014 UHC Quality Leadership Award from the University HealthSystem Consortium. We ranked number three among 104 academic medical centers, based on quality, safety, efficiency and patient-centered care. We also lead the region in the "America's Best Hospitals" rankings by U.S. News & World Report and have been recognized for 22 years as a top-performing hospital.
Our department is currently home to 76 faculty members, four fellows and 27 residents, however, we continue to grow annually. Our diverse department includes sports medicine, occupational medicine, integrative medicine, behavioral health and health service researchers in addition to family medicine.
Our family medicine practices are part of Comprehensive Primary Care Plus through the Center for Medicare and Medicaid which offers extensive opportunities for research and scholarship. We offer two fellowship programs in clinical informatics and sports medicine and will be providing an integrative medicine fellowship in the near future. OSU offers competitive salaries and benefits commensurate with qualifications.
