We are excited to host the Microvascular Fellow Boot Camp course for the 2023 season! The course is open to fellows currently training in an AHNS accredited head and neck microvascular program throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Our Mission
The mission of the Microvascular Fellow Boot Camp is to expose current head and neck microvascular fellows to both common and uncommon free flap procedures, indications, techniques and nuances of insetting including soft tissue and boney inset plating, and to expose residents to head and neck anatomy and ablative procedures.
About the Boot Camp
This course is unique because it's centered on a defect-oriented approach in fresh cadavers. Cadavers will have pre-existing defects and the participants will be required to design and reconstruct the defects (including osteotomies, plating, soft tissue inset, etc.) for each head and neck subsite. We put together an outstanding group of faculty from high volume training centers all over the country. We are offering this wonderful learning opportunity to a broad audience including 42 fellows free of charge. There will be stations with two fellows and one faculty member per cadaver to maximize the educational experience. There will be an additional prosection station. *Please note that the ratios are subject to change due to a regional shortage of donors.

We are offering 42 spots on a first come, first serve basis (limit two fellows per institution). Registration is free for all qualified attendees and open to fellows from AHNS accredited head and neck microvascular programs throughout the U.S. and Canada. *Please note, once the registration application has been submitted, we ask that you wait until you receive an approval confirmation email prior to making travel arrangements.
