About our radiology education programs
The education mission of The Ohio State University Department of Radiology is simple. We are committed to providing a well-rounded educational experience to our residents, fellows, medical students and the community at large. Our commitment is demonstrated by optimizing graduate medical education through a variety of disciplines.
The Department of Radiology offers three residency programs – the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program, the Interventional/Diagnostic Radiology (IR/DR) Residency Program and residents who have completed an ACGME-accredited diagnostic radiology residency program are eligible to apply to the Nuclear Medicine Residency.
The Ohio State University offers seven fellowships within the Department of Radiology. These include the Abdominal Imaging Fellowship, Breast Imaging Fellowship, Vascular Interventional Radiology Fellowship, Thoracic Imaging Fellowship, Musculoskeletal Fellowship, Oncologic Neuroradiology Fellowship and Diagnostic Neuroradiology Fellowship. The Neuroradiology and Vascular Interventional Radiology Fellowships are ACGME-accredited fellowships and participate in the NRMP Match.
The Department of Radiology offers specialty training programs for technologists. We currently offer the MRI Educational Program and the Nuclear Medicine Technology Educational Program.
Medical student educational programs
The Department of Radiology is committed to the educational experience of medical students. We believe that radiology spans all medical fields of study and adds depth to any specialty. We attempt to broaden our student’s knowledge in order to mold superior physicians of the future.
