Angela Blackstone

Angela Blackstone, RDN, LD

BS: Allied Health Professions, Medical Dietetics, The Ohio State University

Experience and Interests: Angela Blackstone is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who has worked for The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center for over 24 years. She spent 22 years working with The OSUWMC Comprehensive Weight Management programs. There she enjoyed working with a multi-disciplinary team facilitating group and individual sessions helping people work on lifestyle changes to support weight loss. In her current role with Family Medicine at OSUWMC, she sees people with a variety of diagnoses and continues to use her experience and counseling skills to help them reach their health goals.

Angela knows there is no one-size-fits-all approach to making lifestyle changes regardless of the diagnosis or overall goals. Her experience with identifying the individual's stage of change and use of Motivational Interviewing techniques allows her to personalize sessions and help people set realistic goals. She enjoys helping people find that missing puzzle piece, that once in place, helps them gain “wins” in their health journey.

In her time away from work, you can find her cheering on the sidelines at her kid's sporting events, spending time with family and friends or curled up with a good book.
