The Family Medicine practice at Outpatient Care East in collaboration with Ohio State’s Total Health and Wellness primary care is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). The FQHC designation recognizes community-based healthcare centers that deliver primary care services in underserved populations. Federally Qualified Health Centers are supported by federal Health Resources and Services Administration Health Center Program grants, by way of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, aimed at expanding access to affordable, quality primary care to vulnerable areas.

Services include:

  • Diagnosis and treatment for any undiagnosed sign, symptom or health care concern
  • Routine physical exams
  • Immunizations
  • Pre-employment, school, sports and camp physicals
  • Routine health screenings
  • Routine cancer screenings
  • Illness treatment for conditions such as colds and flu
  • Treatment of minor injuries, including cuts and sprains
  • General and chronic care for seniors
  • Treatment and management of chronic diseases such as diabetes or asthma
  • Minor surgery, such as suturing, biopsies, vasectomies, and removal of skin lesions and moles
  • Comprehensive gynecologic services including Pap tests and contraceptives
  • Colposcopy and vasectomies at selected offices
  • Pregnancy and newborn care
  • Infant and small children care
  • Wellness and disease prevention
  • Education and counseling regarding health care issues and concerns

The Transgender Primary Care Clinic operates every Wednesday at this location and our Teen Clinic is available every Tuesday, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Learn more about these and all of Ohio State's primary care services.
