Rathi_Vinay_720x720Vinay Rathi, MD, MBA, has joined the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at The Ohio State University College of Medicine as a rhinologist and health policy researcher.

Dr. Rathi’s research is focused on promoting the safe and effective use of medical devices and affordability of healthcare. His work has been published in The New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, and Nature Biotechnology and has been featured in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and on CBS News and in Forbes.

“My experience has taught me the importance of understanding the strength of clinical evidence that supports new technology and forces that influence the cost of care,” Dr. Rathi says. “I want to help people understand and navigate their health care options and then support the right decision for them.”

Dr. Rathi completed a Fellowship in Rhinology and anterior skull base surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He completed his residency training at Harvard Medical School and at Mass Eye and Ear in Boston. Dr. Rathi earned his medical degree from the Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut, and an MBA from Harvard Business School in Boston.
