Experts from the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center have helped more than 100 Ohio employers develop COVID-19 testing and screening plans, redesign their workplaces and sanitation plans, and develop safe return-to-work protocols and print materials, HR and safety-leader training programs, and mitigation plans in case of an outbreak.
Mindfulness in Motion
Stress management that works
This eight-week resilience-building program first began at Ohio State for stressed workers in clinical workplaces, but it’s been so successful that we’ve expanded and adapted it for the public. The program, delivered at the worksite or a quiet meeting place, features community building, meditation, simple yoga and music. It has reduced participants’ stress biomarkers 40%, and burnout 27%. Work engagement also has significantly improved and is sustained more than a year after the program ends.
Leaders and employees reach their full potential
Health Athlete features one-day, two-day or 7-week online workshops focused on physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. These hourlong workshops are clinically proven to boost personal vitality, quality of life, quality of sleep and clarity of life purpose. There are now more than 2,000 empowered graduates of this unique Ohio State program from all walks of life.
Personal weight management with proven results
Three-month and six-month Living Well sessions partner participants with certified health professionals to develop and track a personal meal plan, exercise plan and strategies for success. This program includes weekly classes and individual check-ins. It’s all part of a 20-year Ohio State program that has helped thousands of people achieve weight loss results that outpace the National Institutes of Health’s standardized expectations for similar programs.
