The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is excited for you to deliver your Buckeye Baby in our new University Hospital, opening on Feb. 22. Among the building’s many impressive features are floors 22, 23 and 24 –– the top three floors –– dedicated to maternity care, the jewel of the building with world-class accommodations and breathtaking views.

Patient-centered care
Each patient room has a 9-foot window that lets in abundant daylight, shown to improve recovery and wellness. And visitors will notice thoughtful amenities throughout the hospital, such as an express elevator to Labor and Delivery, companion care restrooms and around-the-clock dining options.
Quiet healing spaces
This new hospital has abundant areas throughout for when you need quiet time to recharge yourself. We’ve created a bright conservatory for use as a respite space, a second-floor outdoor garden and a sanctuary for spiritual reflection. And patients will appreciate the quiet on their unit, with clinical staff workspaces located on the inner core of each floor.
Impressive innovation
Our new hospital has 820 patient rooms, ensuring we can care for our rapidly growing central Ohio region. Each room is fully private, with plenty of space for family members, and equipped with 75-inch digital screens that provide access to team member information, telehealth and video conferencing, room controls, education, entertainment and relaxation content.
