Based on the concept of cell reprograming, Ohio State researcher Daniel Gallego-Perez, PhD, has pioneered a technology called tissue-nano transfection (TNT) that converts skin into either insulin-producing tissue to treat diabetes or brown adipose tissue to treat obesity and metabolic issues.
