The faculty and staff at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center are improving people’s lives across the nation with life-altering biomedical discoveries and breakthrough health care solutions.
In addition to these innovations, the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center has forged relationships to expand access to health care. Ohio State joined Mercy Health to form Healthy State Alliance, an initiative designed to tackle Ohio's most critical health needs, including reducing opioid overdoses and related deaths, and increasing access to cancer and transplant care. Mercy Health, a Catholic health ministry serving Ohio and Kentucky, combines its vast geographic footprint as a thriving accountable care organization with Ohio State's highly specialized services and thousands of clinical trials.
The partnership adds a wider, more integrated focus on health care access while reducing operating costs and increasing the quality of care patients receive.
