Coping with COVID-19: Accept Today for What it Is
While sitting quietly and comparing my life today with how it has been in the past, the difference is almost beyond belief. Things have not been nor will they ever be rosy; some days will be a lot better than others.
There is a tendency to accept the bad days more emotionally, or at a gut level.
I have to remind myself when this happens that there are no pat answers.
Yet part of the solution lies in a constant effort to practice awareness and acceptance, and to remain open to the lessons I can learn today. When I accept today for what it is, I have more energy to devote to kindness toward others.
