Coping with COVID-19: Accepting new beginnings
Until now, we may have equated the idea of beginning again with a view toward our past successes or failures. This isn’t necessarily so in our current circumstances.
Like students who complete a course only to start the next grade building on their learning, and like workers who find new ways to apply their unique skills and abilities, our new beginnings must not be tinged with the sense of failure.
In a sense, every day is a new beginning. We can look forward to a new day with new possibilities to contribute or to assist another or to simply think about something differently.
In this time of change, we would be well-advised to roll with adversity and to make the best of each day we have and share that goodness with others.
