Coping with COVID-19 Affirmation: I can listen better
One of the most constructive things I can do is be a good listener, both to others and to myself. In doing so, I’m challenged to consider how I’m speaking toward myself and others.
Until recently, things may have been going too fast for me to really hear others. I tuned them out and, most of the time, I tuned out my own voice.
Times like these give one pause to slow down and to begin to understand the importance of being present when others are speaking.
I have begun to realize just how important it is to listen to what others have to say — to speak to myself with kindness and to accept the input of others with dignity and grace.
