Care and understanding is a form of fulfillment in itself. It really doesn’t matter if the caring and kindness is returned or not. If we share kindness only to seek a response on our terms, we are placing our expectations above the purpose of kindness. When we give freely to one another we can expand our capacity of self-reward. If we have the capacity to give of ourselves freely and without expectation of return, we find our individual growth and reward increase exponentially. Kindness and caring are both gifts of self-reward requiring no return from others.
