"“Perfect courage,” wrote Francois de La Rochefoucauld, “means doing unwitnessed what we would be capable of with the world looking on.” As we move from uncertainty to realization of the nature of our challenges, we recognize persistent fear for what it is, and we grow to a point where we master our fears. This is accomplished by doing one little piece at a time. We learn that opportunities are all around us. We gain access to our future through overcoming our fears today. This is the process of personal growth.
