Upper Lid Blepharoplasty
This patient underwent upper lid blepharoplasty on both sides to remove excess skin which was overlapping the pupil and blocking her vision.
External Ptosis Repair
This patient had an inflammation of her tear gland which caused her right upper eyelid to droop. An oculoplastic surgeon at the Ohio State Department of Ophthalmology repaired her ptosis by making an incision through the natural fold in the eyelid and tightening the eyelid lifting muscle with sutures. This procedure is done on an outpatient basis and has a success rate of more than 90 percent.
Internal Ptosis Repair
This patient had drooping of the right upper eyelid after a surgical procedure done outside Ohio State. The ptosis was repaired through an internal approach (through the back of the eyelid) without any skin incisions.
Orbital Decompression
This patient had severe bulging (proptosis) of both eyes caused by thyroid eye disease. She underwent multiple treatments, including radiation, Teprotumumab (Tepezza) infusions, orbital decompression, and eyelid surgery to restore the normal function and appearance of her eyes.
Endoscopic Browlift
This patient had drooping of her eyebrows (brow ptosis) which was interfering with her upper field of vision. She underwent an endoscopic browlift procedure, which is performed through incisions that are hidden behind the hairline.
