I am a board-certified general surgeon at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I specialize in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgery for conditions such as hernias, gallbladder disease, and gastrointestinal disorders.
My patients can rely on me for expert, compassionate care and clear communication. I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure each patient receives personalized surgical care tailored to their needs and recovery goals.
In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I serve as a clinical associate professor of Surgery at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, where I am dedicated to surgical education and innovation.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

Dr. Collins had my records from 5 years ago and continued where we left off, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient.
I think, the Care Provider, listened to what I had to say, & was either soo confident with her surgery,upon I,that the issues I was speaking about, didn't relate,/ as most care providers, DON'T REALLY PROCESS THE ISSUE AT HAND,IN RELATION TO THE SURGERY/IES AT HAND,& STAGNATE WITH TEXTBOOK HYPOTHESIS, IN LIEU OF HOW ISSUE/S CAN CO~RELATE!!!

Had me shipped in an ambulance over an hour and a half away just to tell me when I got there that she was going to send me home with a partial blockage (& Tons of scar tissue in my intestines) And three hernias pushing and causing the blockage.

Dr.Collins, made me feel comfortable from the moment she entered the exam room, by the way she addressed not only me-"the patient " but my husband. Our concerns/questions were addressed & we walked out feeling like my medical issue was throughly addressed.

Dr Collins was AWESOME!!!! As I said I was quite nervous at 1st but as soon as she walked in the room & introduced herself I felt at ease! She has a PRESENCE about her that made me feel I could talk to her about ANYTHING! She's so down to earth yet very professional and you can tell she's serious about what she does! She explained to me, the best she could, what the surgery may entail and the possible complications IF I don't do MY PART afterwards! I feel comfortable with her doing the surgery & believe she will do EVERYTHING she possibly can to make sure It a success! I feel blessed that I was sent to her! She's probably the "coolest" surgeon I've ever met!!! Not cocky yet confident.
