As an experienced family physician, I work together with my patients to help them achieve their best possible state of health, from babyhood to old age.
While women's health issues have always been a special interest, I enjoy the wide variety of people and problems that we treat in family medicine.
We treat the whole person, not just one part or problem. This is especially important for our older patients with many medical challenges, but helps patients of all ages. It is also important for the medical students we are training for the future.
I believe that you can never outgrow your family physician.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Bartman has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
Dr B is an excellent caregiver. I appreciate that she takes the time that I need to understand what's going on with my aging body. Further, when she received the results of my bloodwork, she was sending me notes in MyChart very late at night. That level of care is not easy in a medical corporate world where profits often are a higher priority than patient well being.

This was my first appointment with this Doctor as my new PCP so the visit was quite long and involved so she could go through all of my past medical history and information as recorded on My Chart. I have gone to this office since I started with OSU. Dr. Bartman was very thorough in going thru my history and was also very hands-on in checking different parts of my body, listening to heart and lungs, etc. I appreciated that. I kow it was a long wait and a long appointment but she was very thorough and I totally appreciate that. I am 81 and have had some recent health issues so I was glad she took time with me.
While it has at times been frustrating waiting well past my scheduled appointment time, I really appreciate the time Dr, Bartman takes when I'm being seen. She's attentive, knowledgeable, and thorough when meeting with me. While It can be frustrating when she falls behind, I always have a sense of confidence and well-being after meeting with her and for these reasons I continue to use Dr. Bartman as my primary care physician. I've also learned by scheduling an appointment for early morning I can avoid the delays In service.
My provider takes her time with all of her patients. During my visit, I described pain that I'm experiencing sometimes with walking. Dr. Bartman asked some questions to clarify and then did some testing of my leg to identify potential solutions which she explained. I appreciated the time she took with me and know she does this with others.

Once you are with Dr. Bartmann, she is simply wonderful, likely the best PCP I have ever had. The office around her can make it hard to reach her or get answers to my questions.

Excellent. I was a little apprehensive about having a new provider, after my provider of many years left OSU. Dr. Bartman got down to business in a way that showed me she was paying attention and wanted to be thorough and get a comprehensive sense of who I am. She was awesome.
