About Me
I’m a physician assistant in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at The James. I received my master’s degree from Ohio University and have been working at the OSUCCC – James since 2017, where I specialize in the management of lymphedema, which most commonly occurs due to treatment for breast cancer.
Many patients see this as an embarrassment and a daily reminder of what they’ve battled in the past, and I love being able to help them manage or even resolve some of their symptoms. In our Lymphedema Center of Excellence, we utilize physical therapists, dieticians, vascular medicine, research and reconstructive surgeons to help patients improve their quality of life.
The OSUCCC – James is a great place to work, as we’re all focused on the same goal of providing the very best care to our patients. My co-workers feel like family, and we all work together to ensure every part of the patient’s treatment is individualized to their specific needs. Outside of my duties at The James, I also volunteer as a Guardian with Honor Flight.

I am quite certain without Abby's persistent treatment, follow-up, and directions for home dressing changes, my non healing would (post radiation) would not be so very close to be closed.
Abby Williams is wonderful to work with.
Abby was excellent! She was very informative and took a lot of time with me.
Abby Williams was excellent. She explained everything clearly and discussed all options available. She was pleasant and willing to answer all questions.

Abby is very proficient and the debridement of my wound rarely is uncomfortable and she always asks if she is hurting me.

Abby is great!
Abby is so very gentle with the debridement of the unhealed area of my wound. I have absolutely no doubt, if Abby was not persistent & timely with these debridements, I would have dealt with infections & breakdown of the operated area.because of her effects and skill, I have made tremendous headway in the healing process.
Abby was excellent and provided he necessary information I needed to make an informed decision about my options.
Abby was wonderful. She took time with me and listened to to my concerns. Even though I am not having the surgery I know I have options if the time comes when I may need it.
I was very pleased with everything Abby & I discussed and I learned a lot from her.
I cannot say enough positive things for Abby - she has been treating/_____) my non-healing wound every 4-5 weeks - and that's the reason the healing is finally progressing.
