About Me
As a rheumatologist, the diseases I treat generally affect the whole patient. So when it comes to care, I like to use a patient-centered approach. I specialize in treating vasculitis, systemic lupus, erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and other reactive spondyloarthropathies, myositis and enteropathic arthritis, which is associated with inflammatory bowel disease.
Some of my research interests include improving clinical outcomes for vasculitis and lupus, shared decision making and patient-physician communication database research.
The best part about working at Ohio State is that every day is different. I’m able to teach many types of people, from patients to fellows, as well as conduct research to improve my patients’ health outcomes.
I have three children, two dogs and a general surgeon husband, so most of my free time is spent staying active, being around family and traveling.
