About Me
I completed my undergraduate studies at Youngstown State University, where I graduated summa cum laude with a degree in combined sciences. I received my medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Medical University and completed my residency in emergency medicine at The Ohio State University. After completing my residency, I spent a year working in the Wake Forest University Health System before returning as an attending physician.
I'm currently an assistant residency program director and medical education fellowship director for the Department of Emergency Medicine. My professional interests include graduate medical education, curricular development, program evaluation, professional development, assessment, and ultrasound.
As an educator, I have developed several successful curricula, including the flipped classroom didactic and longitudinal track curricula. My scholarly interests primarily focus on curriculum development, the flipped classroom teaching method, and professional development.
I have been the recipient of the Ohio ACEP Medical Education Award after a nomination developed by several residents, the OSU EM Teacher of the Year Award, and the CORD Faculty Teaching Award.
My wife Erin and I have two children, Bentley and London. In my spare time, I enjoy sports, outdoors, and spending time with my family.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 10/25/2021, Dr. King has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
