About Me
I am a board-certified clinical psychologist specializing in providing empirically supported psychotherapy to treat a range of mental health conditions. Everyone who comes to see me can trust that I will personalize the treatment plans to best align with their individual needs and values.
In my practice, I often incorporate exposure-based cognitive behavioral therapy to treat panic disorder, agoraphobia, social anxiety disorder, specific phobias and generalized anxiety disorder. I use exposure and response prevention therapy for treating obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Cognitive processing therapy and prolonged exposure therapy are effective for treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I commonly use habit reversal training to treat trichotillomania and excoriation disorders.
I use a variety of modalities, including virtual reality technology, to help patients safely and confidently overcome their fears. I’ve found that virtual reality therapy is effective for treating anxiety disorders, and I received The Ohio State University Medical Center Patient Care Innovation Award for this work.
Growing up in a rural area, I witnessed how difficult it can be for people to access quality, evidence-based care. I am proud to do my part in closing this care gap by offering specialized psychotherapy services. I’m also honored to help educate the next generation of psychologists in my role as a clinical assistant professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
When I am not providing direct patient care, I spend time as a clinical supervisor for the Psychology Predoctoral Internship's OCD and anxiety disorders rotation. In addition, I am on the leadership team for the Pride Employee Resource Group.
I’m also involved with professional organizations aimed at improving psychological care. I am a member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies and the American Psychological Association.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
