About Me
As a primary care physician, I specialize in care for the entire spectrum of life from newborn to end of life. I believe that health means something different to a lot of people and that health is made up of the social, psychological and biological all wrapped into one. To treat a person fully, I provide care that encompasses all three areas.
I’m passionate about listening to a patient’s concerns and coming to a shared decision on how best to treat each individual so they can enjoy the quality of life they deserve.
I love that Ohio State provides a space for everyone, regardless of background or situation, and that we can all learn from each other and work with world-class multispecialties to create a plan that is in the best interest of the patient.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, reading books, traveling to new places and hidden local spots, and spending time with my family and friends creating memories.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

Dr. Bawer listened to my questions and asked thoughtful questions. She took my health concerns seriously and discussed possible causes and solutions.

Loved Dr. Bawer! My previous PCP who I saw for over 30 years retired and this was my first experience with Dr Bawer. We had a great discussion as she learned about me and my health issues. She asked great questions. I really liked that she gave me a "To do" list. I've interacted with her several times via the portal, she has been quick to respond and has provided easy to understand feedback and guidance.

My daughter made an appt. with the doctor, I am losing my doctor he's retiring in June so I'm looking for a new doctor. So we came to Dr. Bawer for meet and greet. I am disabled, it didn't go very well, and she doesn't want to take me as a patient feels it's not a good fit for her.

Dr. Bawer is absolutely wonderful! She is a great listener and helps with any physical, or emotional/mental concern.
Good: She talks fast, provided lots of information. She accommodated my request for inspection and treatment of both knees, not just one. Not good: She assumed upon entering that my "knee pain" was due to osteoarthritis. It is not.

Dr. Bawar is an incredible doctor. She's helping find out what's wrong with me, and has been able to diagnose me when my last doctor (diff. Network/city/job) Gave up. She has asked tons of questions, listened, and strategically knocked out tests figure out why Ive been feeling this way. My last doctor essentially gave up after a few tests, and then just recommended cymbalta. Dr. Bawar believed me and found out what was wrong.

The care provider I saw conducted a thorough family history questionnaire and asked detailed questions to ensure she understood me. She presented many care and treatment options for my concerns and was in no way dismissive of my concerns. She was considerate, professional, and solution oriented.
