Biography
As a primary care physician, I specialize in care for the entire spectrum of life from newborn to end of life. I believe that health means something different to a lot of people and that health is made up of the social, psychological and biological all wrapped into one. To treat a person fully, I provide care that encompasses all three areas.
I’m passionate about listening to a patient’s concerns and coming to a shared decision on how best to treat each individual so they can enjoy the quality of life they deserve.
I love that Ohio State provides a space for everyone, regardless of background or situation, and that we can all learn from each other and work with world-class multispecialties to create a plan that is in the best interest of the patient.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, reading books, traveling to new places and hidden local spots, and spending time with my family and friends creating memories.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Bawer has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
I was really nervous when my previous care provider retired, but I am super happy withy provider. My previous provider made sure that my current provider was the best fit possible. That is absolutely the case beyond my expectations!

Dr. Bawer has always had a friendly personality when she enters the room. She is very polite and thorough when it comes to whatever my concerns are and illness at the time. She takes time to go over everything and answers my questions. She gives me suggestions when I ask her about my health. She makes me feel like she cares.
We've been with Dr Bawer since my child was conceived and I just feel really blessed that he gets care from someone that's been there since the beginning. It's beautiful! Her staff are just as sweet and compassionate and knowledgeable!
