I’m a hematologist specializing in acute myeloid leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, chronic myelogenous leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes and other blood cancers. I attended medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed my internal medicine internship and residency at the Cleveland Clinic and my hematology and medical oncology fellowship at the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center. I am currently an assistant professor of Internal Medicine in the Division of Hematology here at Ohio State.

In my research, I examine novel experimental treatments that may bring us closer to finding cures for cancer. In addition to being published more than a dozen times, I have been fortunate to present my research findings at hospitals across the country. I also serve as a member of the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and as a panel member for the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.

Consulting and Related Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 03/28/17, Dr. Bhatnagar has reported no financial relationships with medical device, research and/or drug companies.
