About Me
As a primary care physician at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I specialize in LGBT-QI care and HIV care. I am a certified HIV specialist through the American Academy of HIV Medicine and provide treatment to those affected by HIV including antiretroviral therapy (ART) and PreExposure Prophylaxis for HIV (PrEP) for the prevention of HIV. I see patients for HIV and primary care at my Upper Arlington location, and provide HIV specialty care in the OSU Infectious Diseases Clinic at McCampbell Hall.
I have completed additional courses through the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) and provide gender affirming care including gender affirming hormone therapy and hormone blocking therapies for my transgender/gender non-conforming patients.
My other clinical interests include preventative health care and chronic disease management. I enjoy working with patients to help them achieve their long term health goals by focusing on heathy lifestyle changes.
I am originally from Western New York, but moved to Ohio in 2001. I joined the faculty in the Department of General Internal Medicine here at Ohio State in 2016.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling and playing sports including volleyball, hockey, baseball and tennis. I am also a college football fan – go Bucks!

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/01/2020, Dr. Pollak has reported no relationships with companies or entities.

I am very happy with Dr. Pollak. Very thorough review of medical history and treatments. He even followed up with a phone call to me about an issue he was working on for me. Very caring. Very professional. Very thorough. I feel fortunate to have him as my primary care physician.
