Biography

I specialize in physical medicine and rehabilitation and sub-specialize in sports medicine. I am passionate about helping athletes of all levels recover from injury and return to the activities they love. In my role at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I commonly treat patients for acute musculoskeletal injuries such as sprains and ligamentous injuries. Additionally, I address conditions including tendonitis (tendinopathy), osteoarthritis and back pain. I serve as one of the team physicians for Olentangy Liberty High School.

In addition to my clinical and sideline responsibilities, I am involved in efforts to improve patient care on a wider scale. I have co-authored book chapters, and I regularly present at national conferences. I’m a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine, and the Association of Academic Physiatrists, and other professional organizations.

I proudly help educate the next generation of physicians as a clinical assistant professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in the College of Medicine. I teach musculoskeletal ultrasound and assist with resident education.

Outside of work, I love practicing yoga, cycling, hiking and traveling. I’ve completed six marathons and now focus on training for half marathons and lifting. I also enjoy sewing, baking and spoiling my three dogs.
