Biography

As an advanced heart failure cardiologist, I specialize in advanced heart failure, cardiac transplantation and mechanical circulatory support. I commonly provide treatment for patients with congestive heart failure and cardiomyopathy. I believe patient education is my most important responsibility, as I work together with my patients to develop individualized care plans. I am passionate about my career because of the opportunity to offer life-changing treatments and develop meaningful relationships with patients and their families during the process.

I enjoy working at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center because of the range of treatment options we’re able to offer our patients. With access to a vast network of resources, there are seemingly endless possibilities and solutions to the most complex situations. Provider is excellent , locations ok despite driving all over Columbus to help make the appointment happen . We have taken appointments in Dublin , Upper Arlington , New Albany , East Columbus and the Ross to help with a timely schedule. The schedulers politely say " sorry that is all we have available. The.providers are never aware of this.

Dr. Lambert is always courteous and takes care of my needs.

  • Reviewed on Sep 11, 2025

Dr Lampert has been both my primary cardiologist, as well as my heart failure cardiologist for 9 years now. He has treated me for rather significant heart failure (low ejection fraction down around 39%) and his aggressive treatment reversed that trend and got me back up around 60 %. In addition to monitoring/treating me for heart failure, he has also been monitoring my aortic valve for increased stenosis, and has treated me for blood pressure and high cholesterol. He has always been very competent and thorough, as well patient with me in answering my many questions, including my concerns that I have messaged to him and Margaret on OSU's MyChart. A definite TOP Doctor and cardiologist. Also during my recent aortic valve replacement surgery, both Dr Lampert and RN Margaret were very helpful in both monitoring my recovery process and transitioning me back towards my normal routines and care.
