About Me
As an acute care surgeon, I strive to not only be an operative technician, but also an informed and rounded physician. I relish this profession because it is a balanced union between complex clinical cases and opportunities to innovate and teach.
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I’m actively involved in research surrounding biliary disease, spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury. Specifically, I’m the principal investigator for the ongoing EAST Multicenter Trial, “Cognitive Outcomes and NeuroStimulants among the Cerebrally Injured & Obtunded in the United States: The CONSCIOUS Study.” In addition, I serve as the research director at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center for the Central Ohio Trauma System, working to improve patient outcomes in Columbus and the surrounding area.
Most important, as an acute care surgeon, I treat each individual with the same attention and respect. There should never be an option to screen or triage a patient based on race, circumstance, status, or creed because each person deserves equal, unwavering care.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Tracy has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
