About Me
As someone who enjoys exploring the connection between mind and body, especially within environmental and societal contexts, I’m passionate about helping patients achieve and maintain an emotional well-being that’s fulfilling to them. By making connections between patients’ biological, psychological and social components in understanding their lives and presenting issues, I utilize evidence-based interventions (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy) to improve their wellbeing. I specialize in providing individual therapy, group therapy, psychological assessment and psychoeducational workshops. While I may be the expert in the room when it comes to psychology, my patients are the experts of their own lives.
I have always been interested in psychological assessment, which guides treatment plans that are evidence-based and diagnosis-driven. I have substantial training background in psychological assessment that has helped me in connecting the dots seen in clinical information gathered from a bio-psycho-social perspective.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, cooking and savoring good foods, and playing board games.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Yong has reported relationships with the companies or entities listed below. If you have questions about the relationships listed below, please ask the faculty member.
