Chineze Akusoba, MD

About Me

As a gastroenterologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I treat patients for a wide range of digestive health conditions including celiac disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease, irritable bowel syndrome and constipation. I perform upper endoscopies and colonoscopies to diagnose, treat and prevent disease.

I provide compassionate, evidence-based care and ensure that each patient feels heard and supported throughout their health care journey. I prioritize building strong relationships with patients and always listen to their concerns and answer questions. I work with my patients to develop individualized treatment plans to improve both their health and quality of life.

I enjoy working in academic medicine because I value the opportunities to collaborate with colleagues and help educate the next generation of physicians. I am excited to continue growing my career as a clinician and educator here at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, walking and Pilates.
