About Me
I am a vascular surgeon at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I specialize in the comprehensive treatment of vascular diseases using both open and endovascular techniques. With expertise spanning the spectrum of vascular conditions – including peripheral artery disease, aortic syndromes, carotid artery disease and dialysis access – I am committed to delivering the highest standard of care tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
My clinical approach is patient-centered, compassionate care that integrates the latest evidence-based practices. My patients can rely on me to prioritize clear communication, collaborative decision making, and their long-term vascular health.
In addition to my clinical responsibilities, my research interests include implementation and community engaged approaches to improving outcomes for patients with peripheral artery disease across the care continuum. I am also dedicated to training and mentoring the next generation of providers. I am excited to serve as an assistant professor of Surgery at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Powell has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
