About Me

I believe it is my job to provide individualized care and also to advocate and coordinate the care of my patients as they navigate an increasingly complex healthcare system.

I provide care for patients of all ages. I am board certified in pediatrics and internal medicine. I’m particularly interested in caring for patients with chronic childhood illness as they transition to adulthood. I believe these patients deserve physicians who understand their diseases and will work with them to overcome the challenges associated with becoming an adult with an illness that affects their life.

Working at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center allows me to pursue my dream of providing excellent patient care. It allows me to teach medical students and residents the skills to become capable and compassionate physicians. And it allows me to develop new methods to care for patients with pediatric illness as they transition to adult-based care.

Dr Hanks asked great questions and took my concerns seriously. He felt it was better to be cautious and explore causes/treatment now rather than have me wait until my next check up
