Biography
Upwards of 40 percent of women in the United States will suffer from one or more pelvic floor disorders (voiding dysfunction, urinary and fecal incontinence, prolapse and sexual dysfunction) during their lifetime. However, many women do not seek care because they believe these conditions are a natural part aging or that the treatments are ineffective. This is exactly why I went into this specialty. I want women to know that we have effective treatments that can significantly improve their quality of life. Our multi-disciplinary comprehensive pelvic floor center, a Medtronic Center of Excellence, offers patients access to innovative, minimally invasive world class treatments for urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, urogenital fistulas, mesh complications, neurogenic bladder and sexual dysfunction.
I was recently awarded the ribbon for the Medtronic Center of Excellence award.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. Didn't read all the previous test results which skewed her perspective. We had to pull them up on our phone and show her even though they are in the medical records.
