About Me
I am a gastroenterologist specializing in the evaluation, management and prevention of diseases involving the digestive tract. I strive to provide timely, effective, efficient, safe, equitable and patient-centered care during every patient encounter. Additionally, I utilize my training and expertise in medicine, public health and health policy to educate and advocate for my patients. One area in which I am extremely passionate about doing so is in colorectal cancer prevention and screening.
I completed medical school at Howard University College of Medicine, my residency in internal medicine at Duke University Medical Center and my gastroenterology fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. I also received my Master’s of Public Health at Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. Currently, I serve as an assistant professor of medicine, director of Community Engagement and Equity in Digestive Health, and medical director of Endoscopy and Gastroenterology Services at The Ohio State University.
Additionally, I am deputy director of the Center for Cancer Health Equity at the OSUCCC – James, as well as a member of the Cancer Control Program, where my research is focused on community engagement in preventive health behaviors and interventions, and on understanding the interaction of the social determinants of health, public health and healthy policy in cancer prevention.
I have published articles in many peer-reviewed scientific journals and have spoken about my work to medical students and others around the country, including presentations to the Minority Health Policy Annual Meeting at Harvard Medical School and Young Doctors DC at Howard University.
At Ohio State's Wexner Medical Center and James Cancer Hospital, I enjoy the team-based approach to care. I work with doctors, nurses, researchers and administrators to provide the best possible care to our diverse patient population. It’s a community that incorporates teaching, innovation in research and clinical care.

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/01/2020, Dr. Gray has reported relationships with the companies or entities listed below. If you have questions about the relationships listed below, please ask the faculty member. If you have questions about how these relationships are monitored by The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, please contact our Compliance Office.
