About Me
I am a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in primary care at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I treat acute illnesses and injuries, help patients manage chronic conditions, and I provide gynecological services and address mental health.
The opportunity to serve as a person’s care provider is one of the greatest privileges. I strive to forge a genuine connection with every person who comes to see me, and I empower them to take active roles in their health care as we work together on treatment plans that make the most sense for them.
My previous experiences have made me the primary care provider I am today. I’ve worked in health care since 2010, and I was inspired to become a nurse practitioner after working closely with an advanced practice provider during a medical mission trip to rural India. I’ve worked in a variety of settings including emergency care, forensic nursing and preventative medicine.
My scholarly work has focused on improving care for individuals living with a disability who have been victims of crime, and I have been involved with anti-human trafficking efforts. Collectively, I bring all this expertise into each patient encounter to give my patients a holistic and well-rounded care experience.

Very thorough and nice.
This was the very first time I have seen my provider after switching from my old PCP- who I could never get into see when needed. Not to mention one time my old PCP canceled my appointment due to being out of office and the soonest they could reschedule me was 6 months after the prior visit when I needed care. This is the first time in years I have felt listened too and actually heard regarding health my concerns and I didn't have to wait 6 months for an appointment. I have nothing but great things to say about Deanna!
