Biography
I am a board-certified neuroradiologist who specializes in MRI and CT examinations of the brain, spine, head and neck. I focus on inpatient and acute cases and provide a high level of subspecialized expertise in my collaboration with the treating physicians. My research interests include the clinical implementation of artificial intelligence in neuroradiology.
My role also includes helping to train future neuroradiologists. I teach medical students, residents and fellows as an assistant professor in the Division of Neuroradiology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
I attended The Ohio State University as an undergraduate and played the snare drum in TBDBITL, and I am thrilled to be continuing my career as a Buckeye!
When I’m not working, I enjoy traveling with my wife, hiking, playing video games and squirrel watching.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Schrickel has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
