About Me
As an orthopedic surgeon at Ohio State, I specialize in the treatment of spinal disease and disorders. Some of my clinical interests include spinal stenosis, herniated discs, degenerative disc disease and degenerative scoliosis.
I take the time to develop relationships with my patients and choose treatment options based on what is in their best interest. I work to improve their quality of life by exhausting all treatment options before considering surgery. When surgery is needed to treat a patient, my team and I are here to provide the best possible surgical care.
Working at Ohio State is great because of the friendly and compassionate environment. My job also allows me to work with amazing and talented physicians.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/01/2020, Dr. Yu has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
Wonderful provider!
Elizabeth Yu was and always an amazing doctor. She talk to you about anything if my neck hurts or if I fall I did, but it wasn't the fall that will change anything..or dizzy kind and see talk about surgery again but if I am doing okay then I don't have to. She is a swell doctor. She even and wonder about caring question and concerns.
She did not seem to let me finish anything. She did not let me finish doing what she asked me to do such as bending forward or backward, or filling out the paperwork I was asked to do by the nurse, or finishing my sentences. I also do not know if she even knew that I have a history of a lumbar spinal fracture and I was there for pain (potentially) related to that which is why my primary doctor wanted me to get an MRI (that I never did have done because my x-rays looked fine).. Some of her responses were short and cut me off and essentially made me feel a bit dumb. She seemed to lack mannerisms of respect.
Both Dr. Brewster & Dr. Yu were thorough, considerate, genuinely interested in helping me with my health problems, and professional. I am glad I sought care here.
It is comforting to know that Dr. Yu received 5 stars out of five when I Goggled her. Spinal surgery is a serious operation and can be scary for the patient.
Doctor was very nice & friendly. Made me feel that she can fix my problem.
My experiences are always good. I appreciate the professional manner my provider, Dr. Yu, tends to my needs.
Good.
Very happy with visit.
very thorough & attentive to my needs
