About Me

I am an Internal Medicine physician specializing in interventional cardiology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I treat patients for various cardiovascular issues including chest pain, heart valve diseases, acute coronary syndrome and pulmonary embolism.

I was inspired to pursue a career in medicine after witnessing the positive impact medical professionals had on my own family members. When patients come to see me, they can trust that I will provide the same high-quality care that I would want for my own family.

Medicine is a constantly evolving field, and the intellectual challenge motivates me every day. I continuously strive to increase my understanding of the diseases I treat, and I stay updated on the most innovative treatments available. My goal is to use this knowledge to meaningfully impact my patients’ lives and help them achieve their health goals.

My role also includes educating the next generation of physicians. I am a clinical assistant professor of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Listened well and spent appropriate amount of time with me.

The doctor was running very behind, and when she came in she listened to my concerns then told me to pick "one thing" for her to address. Despite me mentioning I had other concerns as well, I was never given any education on why these other things were or were not issues. This was extremely discouraging to me as I am in the healthcare industry and know that addressing concerns of the patient is important for establishing rapport and providing quality care. My concerns were brushed off, and at the end of the appointment I was told my problems were managed by "lifestyle modifications" despite going through the lifestyle factors with her and confirming I already follow them. I was therefore dissatisfied with the appointment I waited over a month to get in the first place and left feeling more frustrated than when I came in.

Consulting and Related Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
