About Me
As a palliative medicine specialist, I provide the best care possible for patients facing life-threatening illnesses. I regularly consult with other attending physicians to help customize treatment plans aimed at enhancing the patients’ comfort. My work has also centered on improving quality and access to hospice and palliative medical care for patients with cardiopulmonary disease.
My role includes helping to educate and support future generations of physicians. I am a clinical professor of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and I passionately support my colleagues as they grow in and develop their careers.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Gafford has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
