A nurse practitioner is extensively trained to treat illness or disease and to prescribe medication to their patients. They work on teams with a licensed physician, but can treat patients with significant autonomy. Very thorough...reviewed my medication list and advised me not to take one of the RXs during course of new one (one she prescribed) and advised me to cut dosage in half of another routine RX. Furthermore, explained why.

I have never had a bad experience with my care provider
Emily has been my favorite provider in my entire history of health care. She has always listened and helped me feel like she takes my concerns seriously even if they are small and has always been able to explain things to me very carefully and has an open and honest dialogue where I feel comfortable that she wants the best for me as a patient and as a person. I never feel like I am being rushed out of my appointment or unheard in my concerns. Rarely do I write reviews as I feel like my care in most instances as average to what is expected but she has gone above and beyond what I have experienced in health care before.
When a health care provider say "I don't do this" or "I won't do that" and interrupts the patient several times and talks over her, and then when a patient says this very important, and the provider says "we'll deal with that later, it's too much for now", and the patient says it's the most important and is an immediate importance, and the provider ignores it, that causes mistrust and fear of coming back in the patient. She didn't ignore everything, but the last thing WAS and IS a necessary! Don't interrupt your patient!
